VIRGINIA CODE COMPLIANCE STATEMENTS
The Long Hollow Christian Preschool is a religious based school and is exempt from Virginia State Licensure.
All teachers and teaching assistants are certified in CPR.
All teachers, teaching assistants, our administrator, and Janitors have submitted to and passed criminal background checks.
All teachers, teaching assistants and our administrator are certified annually by a practicing physician that they are free from any disability that would prevent them from caring for children.
Every single member of our preschool staff is part of our family. Our teachers are required to live exemplary Christian lives both inside and outside the classroom. The preschool governing board requires that they continually keep up with preschool learning and teaching methods and curriculum. They must have a love for children and an obvious passion for developing Godly character in their lives.
The preschool is located in the Long Hollow Christian Church’s 5,000 sq. ft. Family Life Center. The FLC is less than four years old and meets all building code requirements for safety and handicap accessibility. The preschool will be held on the lower level utilizing the main gym floor. It will be divided into several learning and play centers including, cut not limited to: art, media, library and dress-up. The preschool area has been designed and built with the social and learning needs of the preschooler as a priority.
The preschool will not have more than 20 students at one time in either the morning preschool session or in the Aftercare program.
Snacks will be offered in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Snacks can include, but not limited to: Kool-aid, juice, dry cereal, fruits, vegetables, and snack crackers. Children staying all day for both the morning and evening sessions are required to bring an additional lunch from home.
The Long Hollow Christian Preschool is covered by public liability insurance, which provides coverage in the event that someone brings suit against the institution for personal or bodily harm suffered during operation as a result of negligence.
